Ever wanted to make your own sentences using the Dinosaur Language found in Star Fox Adventures and then translate them back? Well, here's the tool for you to download!

I made it a little over 4 years ago, so there's a few bugs that I could probably fix now. But it's in a condition that my 16-year-old self considered usable, so I'm posting it anyway. If you ever run into any problems with the program, just close it and reopen it. That should fix all the problems.

Anyway, here's the detailed user instruction manual:
1. download the program
2. open it
3. type '1' to translate into dino language, '2' to go into english, and then press enter.
4. enter the text you want translated, putting quotation marks around Proper Nouns, like "Star Fox."
5. press 'y' to restart or 'n' to end the program followed by enter.
6. enjoy.

Some problems:
If you try to translate something that's too long, it might close up on you. Just break the text into smaller chunks.
If it's running too long, it might close on you.
Due to translation difficulties, going from Dino language to English might cause too many 'e's to show up in your translation. In that case, just try replacing a couple 'e's with 'y's.
When you shut down your computer, it might ask if you want to save Winsoux.txt. Just say no. I don't know why it does this, but it was a problem with all my C++ programs from back then.

Star Fox is copyright Nintendo. I take no ownership in any way shape or form. I made this program to help people enjoy the fine products of nintendo, not detract from them.

Oh wow. So you like the Dino Language too? ^^ I made up a writing system for it.

.....PINGAS! =D
:iconninjkabat:
A writing system for it that's different from the english letters it already uses? That's pretty impressive.

I used to really think that this simple replacement code resulted in a very pretty language, which is why I wanted to make a program that would do the translation for me. 'Cause sitting there with the lettering key and writing out the message letter by letter got boring.

Anyway, I hope you find it useful.

Thanks, and yes, I think it's really useful. ^_^

Where can I find the writing sytem?

Shadow's through the night, and a low growl from behind......
:iconcrumplezonegirl06:
Well, it's something I created. If I find it, I can try to put it onto dA.

Kxudbj. A'm wcut oei cabo ak.

If only I could code a text reader to correctly read what it just translated, 'cause I think the beauty of that made up language is in its spoken form.

Hmmm, but I might be able to redo the whole project in an updated form. I think I have the meager flash programming skills required to make something adaquately Ok. I'll have to look into that when I have more time.
