So! Lots going on in the life of your favorite ninja. But first and foremost - and really the only thing that will remotely affect anyone here - is that I have a government job starting tomorrow that will take me away from electronics pretty solidly for the next month or so.

Maybe I can explain a bit?

Well, as some may know, I recently had to end my internship at the ION because I had reached the maximum term length, which is something not every ninja is able to do. At that point, you're forced to choose to enter the ION as fulltime staff, or pursue other career interests, and I chose the latter. I just don't want to get tied down to the bureaucracy of it all, and I can always go back to the ION if I don't find my career niche.

Anydangway, I got offered a ninja-ing gig from the government up in the San Bernardino mountains. I'm really excited because not only is it my first gig out of the ION internship, but it's my first gig out of college. It's a recon gig with a possible take out scenario depending on a lot of things, but it will take me through the last or second to last week of July (again, depending on things the target does). Unfortunately, this means I'll be out of cell service and away from electronics for that period of time.

So, if you note me, or follow me on twitter, or are friends with me on facebook, or regularly send me anything that would require a response, please don't take it personally when I don't answer for a while.

There is a chance that I might have to tail someone when they go into town for supplies, but that would only be on weekends, and even then getting access to a computer is iffy at best. But if you follow me on any network sites, you might check by during the weekend to get a little nugget of how things are going. I can't be too specific, of course, but I might be able to update on what it's like to sit in a tree and keep an eye on someone.

At least the pay is decent. You'd think the gov't could spring to get me a satellite phone, but they're not really providing me with much for this gig.
